GREAT SALT LAKE

GREAT SALT LAKE is my perennial photography collection of one of the most ethereal and unassuming places in the American West. Since early 2015 I have spent hundreds of mornings and evenings observing and capturing how light and shadow grace this surreal landscape.

These photographs reflect abstract, organic shapes that bring to mind landscapes from other worlds or imaginary worlds. With a natural setting of sensual lines and textures, I create dramatic, even theatrical pieces of this interpretive space; earth, water, atmosphere, the environment...primitive elements we all relate to in the subconscious.
